Marina Peninsula Trail, Morro Bay

Flat wooden boardwalk loop trail along the estuary- you see divebombing pelicans, Morro Rock, cypress trees on the hills opposite, salt marsh, and mountains in the distance.

Black Hill Hike and Lookout, Morro Bay

Stunning view on a clear day. Drive up to the lookout, enjoy the view, and then do a 1km out-and-back steep hike.

Monarch Lane Butterfly Preserve, Los Osos

A very short dirt trail through magical eucalyptus forest, and then a path of deep sand on the dunes.
