Lovely Outings I've Had With My Mom
Mothers are our first friend. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! You are wonderful company, and a place is far more special if I'm there with my you. These are the places we've explored together!
We drove with baby to see the fragrant fields of sweet pea flowers, and explore the pink mission. It was a fun day exploring!
There were hundreds of yellow and pink plumeria flowers in the trees and on the ground. We went with Ad and it was a beautiful day!
We went shopping at Paseo Nuevo Mall. You always know the clothes that will look good on me!
You always appreciate the beautiful things, like the little flowers everywhere and the brightly colored dart frogs.
You love the ocean just like me! You came with me when I swam here on my last day on Oahu when I visited in 2015.
We walked along the bay in the early morning exploring the mud flats.
One of my earliest and favorite memories is when you took me on a ferry ride. It was a special outing.
I'm sure we've sung How Great Thou Art here! You always appreciate God's beauty and creation.
You pointed out the orange nasturtiums growing down the cliff. We had a magical day here with Dad.
You and Dad loved this spot when I showed it to you last year! You both are always so enthusiastic and so much fun to take around!
You love the dunes! We walked the boardwalk over the dunes as a group when you visited in 2016!
You're always up to explore a new spot, no matter how small!
We went to a Hula concert here by the water, just me and you, in 2024!
Dancing to the guitar in the shelter of a gazebo in the wind and rain!
You always like special events like Halloween, and take joy in them! This makes them fun!
You've brought me to Morro Bay so many times! It's magical to see the sea otters, hear the seals, and sip some clam chowder.
I remember when you brought me here when I was little, and the pool mesmerized me.
You love a tropical place and good atmosphere, and I love these things too! We had so much fun here as a group when you visited in 2022!
It was very fun playing cards at the pool on a warm Florida night.
We saw a big alligator covered in duckweed as we walked around the lakes on the tropical paths!
We looked at the lagoon filled with sharks and sting rays, and saw the funny birds walking along, when you visited in 2022! Later that day, we walked around singing to the beat of our steps!
It's so fun to watch a surf contest with you! Then we marched along the grass singing songs!
We had a peak experience, looking at the dolphins and then watching the stars from the end of the jetty!
We had a picnic of delicious Greek food and then walked the coral-strewn beach.
We walked here with Dad in the early morning. You guys are so sweet!
We used to stop on our way back to Australia from visiting grandpa in California, and walk this wonderful path, with plumeria flowers behind our ears!
We had a huge picnic with the whole clan in 2015 here and it was fun! And you came to my wedding here!
We walked under the red, red rocks and then slid down the natural rock slides, in 2005! You and Dad loved it!
We walked to the very end of the seawall, with views of the mountains of Santa Barbara, when you and Dad came to visit in 2008!
I was so excited to show you and Dad the colorful sights on Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach when you visited me in Florida for the first time!
It's always so fun taking you and Dad around! Jules and Syd were with us too, in 2013!
I was so happy to see you and Dad when you visited while I was in Orlando for medical care. It meant a lot.
We thought we heard frogs croaking at night by the lake, but then realized it was a scary alligator!
I loved visiting you guys and getting Topper's Pizza at Channel Island Harbor! We danced to the live music at the park on the weekend.
We walked at Ellwood with the whole clan when you and Dad visited in 2016!
We had a drink at the little mai tai bar at the top of the mall! And when I was younger you bought me many cute dresses here at Wet Seal!
We saw baby moorhens and alligators here! You and Dad always delight in nature and animals so much!
You loved to show me the elephant seals here when I was younger!
